The big news from Kia is the upcoming Kia Telluride. This is a three-row, full-size luxury SUV designed to take driving and riding to the next level. The Telluride promises to be much more than just an SUV; it will feature the latest design elements both inside and out, new technologies, and extreme comfort. Here is what we know about the 2020 Kia Telluride. The Cabin The Telluride will have room for up to eight passengers, with captain's chairs in the first two rows and a bench seat in the back. There is black leather upholstery, and the second row will feature foldaway footrests for the ultimate in comfort. Up above, a huge panoramic sunroof will let in lots of natural light, allowing the sun to shine down on all the beautiful materials in the cabin. more Smart Sensors This SUV will have technology designed to make sure its passengers are feeling their best. Kia installed smart sensors in the four front seats that will capture the passenger's vital health information and then display it on the interior door panels. The LER, or Light-Emitted Rejuvenation, the system will respond to the findings by adjusting the therapeutic light that sits on a ceiling-mounted LED panel. The Power The Telluride will come with a hybrid powertrain that includes a 3.5-liter V-6 engine and an electric motor that will generate a combined 400 horsepower. The transverse-mounted powertrain will work along with an advanced all-wheel-drive system to help you get up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway. The Exterior Look The exterior design of the Telluride features a large tiger-nose grille up front and thin vertical taillights around back, along with dual exhaust tips. It will have front- and rear-hinged doors that open up to 90 degrees and polished metal skid plates. It will also have recessed quad-LED headlights, horizontal LED indicator lights for a modern look, and 22-inch five-spoke wheels. The concept version of the Telluride features off-road equipment such as a built-in winch, off-road lights that sit ahead of the grille and pull hooks in the corner vents. The concept vehicle also features side skirts, a huge luggage rack, and a side ladder to help you get up to the luggage racks. There are still some questions about whether or not these features will make it to the production model. The Technology It is not clear what Kia will offer for technology, but there is speculation about two large screens on the dashboard, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto phone connectivity, and hopefully a standard Wi-Fi hot spot. Kia does indicate that the Telluride will have a fingerprint-activated push-button start, interior door-panel view screens, and 3D-printed dashboard door panels and steering wheel. It will also have wireless phone charging, and Swipe Command, which is a touch-sensitive system for the second-row medial control band. The Kia Sportage is a five-passenger crossover SUV that comes equipped with loads of technology and standard features. The 2019 model carries over from 2018 with just a few minor changes to the available features, and you still get the same smooth ride, spacious seating, and quiet interior when traveling on the highway. Kia offers the Sportage in three different trim levels. Here is some information about each to help you choose the one that works for you. The LX The base LX trim comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, and a height-adjustable seat for the driver. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine gets 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, and it comes standard with front-wheel drive with the option for all-wheel drive. The technology in the Sportage LX includes a 5-inch touchscreen display, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and a USB port. Add the Popular package to the LX for roof rails, a windshield wiper de-icer, and UV-reducing glass up front. This package also adds dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a 7-inch touchscreen with the UVO infotainment system complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. more The EX Step up to the EX trim for all the features of the LX with the Popular package. It also adds 18-inch wheels, power-folding side mirrors with heat, fog lights, and upgraded trim elements both inside and out. The EX also adds extra safety features, including a blind-spot monitoring system with rear cross-traffic alert, and it has leather seats and a USB port for the back-seat passengers. EX With the Premium Package There are also some packages you can add on to the EX. The EX Premium adds a panoramic sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a heated steering wheel. This package also has an option that adds some extra safety features, including forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. The EX Sport Appearance Package The Sport Appearance package adds LED exterior lighting, paddle shifters and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. You'll also get upgrades such as LED exterior lighting and unique trim elements in the cabin and on the exterior. The SX The top-of-the-line SX trim comes with a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This sportier version of the Sportage also comes with 19-inch wheels, LED fog lights, and xenon headlights. You'll also get a unique exterior trim, a sport-tuned suspension, and an electronic parking brake that has an auto-hold feature. This trim comes standard with the flat-bottomed steering wheel, all the features of both the EX Technology package and the Sport Appearance package, and a larger gauge display. There are a lot of things to choose from with the 2019 Kia Sportage. The midlevel EX trim comes standard with many features and offers the option for more, while the high-end SX has a more powerful engine and comes with all the extras.

Having a general understanding of how your car works, and what it requires in terms of regular maintenance, will help you keep your car running smoothly with less risk of more critical issues down the road. While just about everyone knows to change the oil regularly, there are some other protocols to follow regarding your vehicle's maintenance. Follow the Manufacturer's Recommendations Your vehicle will come with a suggested service routine. This will list several services, including how long to go between having them done. It is usually listed in miles. Some services will only need to be done once or twice throughout the entire life of the vehicle, or every 100,000 miles or so, while others are more routine. more Driving Under Extreme Conditions AAA suggests that some vehicles may need some services sooner based on how they are driven and what conditions they are being driven in. Some examples of extreme or severe conditions include being primarily used for short trips under five miles, ongoing stop-and-go or city driving, towing, and driving in extreme heat or cold. These stressors can wear down your vehicle faster and may require it to be serviced sooner. Unlisted Considerations Some parts of your car will simply wear down over time, despite not being listed on the manufacturer's recommended service guidelines. These are usually the components that fail and catch you off-guard on the road or during an annual state inspection. One example of this is the power steering hoses that carry fluid to and from the reservoir. Over time, these hoses will wear down and fail, which will cause a loss in power steering. You can still turn the wheel, but it will be very labor intensive, so catching a failure before it happens is ideal. Look for condensation or bulges on the hoses or a lower level of fluid in the reservoir. These all indicate there could be an issue with your power steering on the horizon. Brakes also wear out over time and tend to do so faster depending on how much and how aggressively they are used. The quality of the brake pad and the habits of the driver will determine how often they need to be changed. Typically, it ranges between 25,000 and 70,000 miles. Things like needing to press the brake pedal down further or the brake light on your dashboard coming on are indicators that service may be in order. Wheel bearings keep your tires turning smoothly despite being under the entire weight of the vehicle. If a bearing is starting to go out, you will begin to hear a moaning or groaning sound from one corner of the vehicle that changes with the speed you are driving. Not only is it a local favorite for mouthwatering dishes such as the generously seasoned conch fritters and tasty Mahi tacos, but it has also been named the best restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, according to New York Times reader's choice awards. Don't take their word for it, though. Head on down to their location on Seabreeze Boulevard and try out the jambalaya or coconut shrimp platter for yourself. Don't forget the conch fritters, either. Pelican Landing The last on our list, but certainly not least, is Pelican Landing on South East 17th Street. If you're planning on doing any kind of towing or just like a little extra power beneath your foot, you'll probably want to consider this trim. Kia Sorento EX From the EX upward, the V-6 engine is standard, but the all-wheel drive will still cost extra. This trim also starts to pack on the luxury features, many of which are included. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, and satellite radio will improve your driving experience while safety features, such as forward collision warning, emergency braking, and lane-departure warning, will help keep you safe. You can even upgrade this trim further with the EX Touring package. This will get you a nicer sound system, a larger UVO screen, a heated steering wheel, a sunroof, and more. Kia Sorento SX The SX comes standard with most of the features that were included in the EX Touring package.
