- Interior
The interior of the sedan combines comfort with functionality. Before taking off, adjust your seat into one of the six different positions for optimum comfort on the road. Beyond comfort, the Kia Rio is full of technology for driving and entertainment. In the sedan, LX owners get a 5-inch touch screen infotainment system. The S trim sees the screen size increase to seven inches. Both trims feature an FM/AM satellite radio with a built-in MP3 radio. The hatchback S trim also features the 7-inch screen with FM/AM satellite radio and MP3 player. Keep your devices charged on the road with the 12-volt outlet.
Connect your Apple or Android device to the car for even more entertainment on the road. Both models feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. By connecting your smart device through Bluetooth, you can access your favorite playlist for the perfect road trip soundtrack. Load an audiobook on your phone and let it play, or catch up on your favorite podcast during your next commute or road trip. You can also make hands free phone calls and send voice-to-text messages without taking your eyes off the road. Use your favorite maps program for voice-guided turn-by-turn directions.
Connect with your car through the UVO app. The app allows you to call for roadside assistance. Add the maintenance feature to the app to easily schedule regular appointments for your car. You can set the service intervals so that you receive a reminder when it is time to schedule your next appointment.
- Kia Drive Wise
The Kia Drive Wise program is your safety co-pilot. The features include an available forward-collision warning system. This system alerts you if there are people or other hazards in your path through visual and audio warnings. The available forward collision warning system gently applies the brakes to help you avoid a potential accident. Both features are available as options for the S trim sedan and hatchback. They are not available on the LX sedan.
The Kia Rio also features an advanced airbag system that surrounds you and your passengers. The front and rear crumple zones take the force of the impact from any wreck to lessen the risk of injury.
