Are you in charge of planning your next date night? Dinner is an essential part of these nights whether they are a regular event for you and your loved one or it is a special event. If you are staying in the Fort Lauderdale area, here are a few upscale choices for the perfect meal.

  1. Casa D’Angelo

Upscale Italian food meets warmth and comfort at Casa D’Angelo. The chef and his team use an oak-fired oven to add a unique taste to every dish. Some of the dinner highlights include Italian staples such as penne vodka. Try a twist on your favorite recipe with their fresh pasta offerings. These include cavatelli, gnocchi, and tortelloni. If you enjoy seafood inquire about the chef’s daily seafood specials or enjoy standards such as grilled jumbo prawns.

You can pair your entree with something from their fantastic wine list. You can either order wine by the glass or by the bottle. As you dream of your perfect Italian meal, remember dinner service starts at 5:30 each night and reservations are recommended.

  1. Kaluz

Surround yourselves in love and natural beauty at Kaluz. If a daytime date fits your schedule better, don’t worry they open at 11:30 a.m. seven days a week. If you choose to have a lunch date, they offer a seven-ounce petite filet mignon with a loaded baked potato. They also have grilled salmon with green beans.

Dinner options include a variety of mouthwatering dishes such as the Kaluz Chilean seabass. It is hardwood grilled with sundried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. They also have a classic slow roasted prime rib served with au jus and parmesan mash potatoes. If you want a steak, ask about the sixteen ounce USDA prime New York strip steak. It comes with garlic-truffle butter and loaded baked potato.

You can pair your meal with either a cocktail or something from their wine list. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert. Some of the sweet options include a traditional key lime pie or a salted caramel brownie.

  1. Truluck’s

Truluck’s combines a fun yet upscale atmosphere with a mouthwatering seafood menu. There is live music every night in the stone crab lounge. They do have a business casual dress code. Start your date night with reservations for dinner anytime after 5 p.m. seven days a week.  You can either call the restaurant to make reservations or make them online. The dinner menu includes your choice of appetizers like the chilled seafood celebration. This plate comes with four shrimp, oysters, crab claws, and a jumbo lump crab cocktail.

Your second-course options include clam chowder or share lobster mac and cheese. Some of the other seafood offerings include Hawaiian Ahi tuna or a Pacific swordfish steak, both served with parmesan mashed potatoes. Truluck’s offers a gluten-free menu to make sure everyone enjoys their dinner.

Whether your dinner is the start of date night or the end of it, enjoy your time together. Disconnect from your normal lives and reconnect with one another.
