2018 Blue Kia Stinger | Gunther KiaThe 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show recently wrapped up, and Kia introduced some beautiful new models and intriguing redesigns that had people at the show talking. If you weren’t able to make it to the show yourself, keep reading to discover all the exciting details that Kia revealed.

Kia Stinger

One of the showstoppers at Frankfurt was the Kia Stinger. This sports sedan gives you a unique compromise between exhilaration and comfort. At the motor show, the Stinger revealed its two turbocharged engines. There’s the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 255 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, as well as the available 3.3-liter V-6 engine, which produces 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. Even more impressive, the V-6 engine can go from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.

Kia Picanto X-Line

The Kia Picanto X-Line is the newest addition in the Picanto lineup, which is available in the European market. It’s youthful, fun, and energetic. And with a spacious interior and excellent trunk capacity, it’s also practical. The Picanto X-Line comes with a sportier front and rear fascia, black cladding around the wheel arches, slightly higher ride height, and dramatic Lime Green grille inserts and fog lamp surrounds. Of course, if you want something more restrained, you can also opt for silver highlights.

Kia Stonic

Another new offering in the European market from Kia is the Stonic. This compact crossover offers innovative features and responsive handling for an exciting drive. Plus, with several customization options, including five color variations for the roof and up to 20 two-tone color combinations, it’s also easy to make your Stonic exactly how you want it. Plus, the Stonic comes loaded with technology features. Standard conveniences include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Available features are forward collision alert, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian recognition, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and blind spot detection.

Kia Sorento

The Kia Sorento showcased its upgrades at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. Thanks to the new eight-speed automatic transmission in this latest version of the popular mid-size SUV, you’ll enjoy smoother shifting and reduced emissions. Another exciting addition to the Sorento lineup is the GT-Line specification, which offers enhanced style and performance while still providing the comfort and versatility that Sorento is known for. You’ll also notice an updated grille, new front and rear fascias, and redesigned headlights and taillights.

Kia Proceed Concept Wagon

One of the final exciting showings at the event was the new Kia Proceed concept wagon. This stunning model comes with a Lava Red paint job that Kia says it accomplished by mixing chrome, black, and red-tinted lacquer together. Along with the eye-catching paint, the Proceed also offers a sporty body that turns heads. The roofline flows evenly into a tailgate that has stacked air vents and rear taillights inspired by molten metal.

The 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show gave Kia a chance to show off what it has been working on and the motor company certainly took the time to impress.
